Prior to your appointment
Pre-care
-
If you have photo samples of your desired shape, please bring them to your appointment.
-
If you currently achieve your ideal shape using makeup, please feel free to fill in your brows for your first appointment so we can take the shape into consideration.
-
Avoid any blood thinning medication approximately 72 hours prior to appointment (e.g.,Vitamin E, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, etc.).
-
Limit caffeine consumption and do not drink alcohol 24 hours before appointment; these could affect colour deposit and cause more bleeding.
-
Brow tinting should occur minimum one week prior to appointment.
-
Avoid waxing/sugaring three days prior to appointment.
-
Avoid intense sun exposure and/or tanning for approximately 20 days prior to and following your procedure. If you show up to your appointment with any sunburn, you will need to reschedule.
-
Avoid any facial peels at least one week prior to appointment.
-
Avoid Botox or fillers at least two weeks prior to appointment.
-
If you are worried about your pain tolerance, feel free to purchase EMLA cream from your local pharmacy. You can add to your brows and cover with plastic wrap approximately one hour prior to your appointment.
After Care (7-10 days)
Post-care

After care is crucial to obtaining the proper colour retention. Results vary for each individual and we cannot guarantee your specific results.
-
Keep your brows completely dry for the first 24 hours after the procedure.
-
After 24 hours, you can gently wash your face including the brow area with a gentle cleanser morning and night, until the flaking has stopped.
-
Avoid allowing water to sit on the brow area at anytime. After washing, pat dry as soon as possible with a clean towel.
-
Once they are completely dry, apply a vert small amount of ointment provided to your brows morning and night.
-
Refrain from using any makeup on your brows until they have fully healed.
-
Do not pick any scabs that appear during the healing phase and do not scratch the area. Let the dry scabs fall off naturally. If they get picked off prematurely, the microbladed hair stroke will disappear causing patchy brows.
-
Avoid exercising for the first seven days (i.e., no excessive sweating).
-
Avoid saunas, swimming pools and hot tubs until the area has healed.
What to expect
Post-care
-
Microblading is a multi-step process. Do not expect your brows to heal perfectly after the first session. Most clients require one touch up appointment to achieve the final look. It is better to layer the pigment slowly than to add too much at first. Some clients will need additional touch ups to achieve their desired look.
-
Your brows will change throughout the healing process—do not panic; trust the process.
-
The first few days your brows will look very dark and defined
-
Approximately five days following your appointment, your brows will start to scab and flake—leave them alone! Do not scratch or pick.
-
Once the flaking has subsided, your brows will look very light. Don’t worry; this is normal and the colour will return.
-
Once you have reached the four week mark, your brows will be healed. Between the 4-8 week mark is when you can book your touch up appointment.
Touch Up Appointment
Post-care
-
Once your brows have fully healed (min. four weeks), you can book in for your touch up. We recommend going for a touch up within three months of your initial appointment.
-
The first appointment is used to get the shape and symmetry of your brows. We use the touch up to build density and perfect the shape and look.
-
Some clients may need more than two appointments to achieve the desired look; this varies between clients.
Long-Term Care
Post-care
-
There is no guarantee on how long the brows will last. Everyone's results will vary due to their skin type, lifestyle, initial 10-day care and the long term care of your brows.
-
Use SPF on your brows to protect from fading or colour alteration.
-
Do not use any chemical exfoliants as this will cause fading.
-
Maintenance will be required on your brows every 12-24 months depending on above listed circumstances.
Brow Lamination & Tinting
Post-care
-
Keep eyebrows dry for the first 24 - 48 hours.
-
Avoid touching the area at the risk of transferring oils.
-
Do not apply makeup to the brows for 24 hours post-treatment.
-
Do not apply Retin A, aha or exfoliate the brow area for 72 hours before & after treatment.
-
No self-tanner products should be used on the face for min. 48 hours post-treatment.
-
If needed, apply light oil to brows once daily to condition (we suggest before bed).
-
Comb the brow hairs into place daily using a spoolie.
